HERVE DI ROSA : A FAMILY AFFAIR

From Wednesday March 12th to Monday September1st

A creative and joyful journey was devised to showcase the meticulous work of integrating 1,200 objects from the Mucem collections into Hervé Di Rosa's bespoke artworks. The exhibition is designed as an archipelago, comprising around fifteen islands. A large canvas painting depicts the "Marseillais," while their portraits also serve as the backdrop for the hanging claustras that line the exhibition.

WHAT'S NEW

AMAZIGH CYCLES , (Ornements, patterns, designs )

From Wednesday April 30th to Sunday November 2nd

Since ancient myths, the feminine has been the matrix from which Amazigh culture was born: the exhibition opens with the founding figures of the mother goddesses, symbolically linked to the fertile and protective circle.
The exhibition interrogates the concept of "Berber permanence" and the contemporary transmissions and circulations of heritage within the significant Amazigh diaspora, in both artistic creation and popular culture. The collection is primarily from the Pierre Bergé Berber Art Museums.

WORLD MUSEUM CONNECTIONS

What is WMC?

This newsletter invites you to discover two European museums, whose "Friends" associations " play a vital role. Within the International Circle of Friends of the Mucem, Dr. Nadera Prince met with them in Lebanon to exchange ideas and establish a connection with their friends' societies.

We hope to soon benefit from the connections we are creating.

 THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
